3DbioNet is one of the five networks under the Technology Touching Life (TTL) joint initiative. 3DbioNet is funded for 3 years (~£600K until December 2021) by the BBSRC, EPSRC and MRC, to foster interdisciplinary research into innovative and disruptive technologies and to drive world-leading basic discovery research in the health and life sciences.
The network is scheduled for a kick-off event with a two-day Launch Workshop, designed for members of large industry, SMEs, academics and student researchers with an interest in 3D biology and in-vitro models. The key objectives of the workshop are to:
- Generate new ideas, collaborations and innovations to address the challenges in the field of 3D microtissues, and to significantly impact the 3Rs.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary consortia addressing the key issues identified.
- Shape the agenda of the network through engagement with industry, academia and other stakeholders.
- Advertise the funding priorities of the network.
Accommodation for one night is offered at subsidised prices. The deadline to register is 31 December 2018. Visit the 3DbioNet website for more information and to register.
