Responsible Research in Practice

Organised by Responsible Research in Practice in collaboration with the UK EQUATOR Centre, this four-half day course is designed for life science researchers at any stage of their career plus others who are actively involved in reporting or communicating in vivo or in vitro studies using animal, cell line or human-derived material.

Topics include ARRIVE and RIVER reporting recommendations and how to communicate 3Rs activities.

The course consists of four online sessions, 9.30 – 13.30 (GMT).

  • Monday 4 November– Session 1: Introduction to publishing, message, authorship, audience, journal choice and reporting guidelines.
  • Tuesday 5 November – Session 2: Getting started and keeping going, writing style, focus on writing methods.
  • Wednesday 6 November– Session 3: Focus on writing results discussion and introduction.
  • Thursday 7 November – Session 4: Focus on writing the abstract and title, editing, submission and the cover letter plus peer review.
