Data Sciences International’s (DSI) HD-XG is an implantable telemetry device capable of providing continuous, real-time measurements of blood glucose, temperature, and activity in rats. Data are collected without human interaction, thus reducing animal stress and measurement variability commonly associated with intermittent blood sampling. DSI wish to increase the widespread use of the HD-XG, to facilitate research documenting the scientific and animal welfare benefits. Ideally, the research will directly compare and contrast the use of HD-XG with current methods to delineate advantages and disadvantages of each. For further information please see the flyer.
