EBERS have developed a microfluidic cell culture device for screening new drugs. The device is capable of generating a gradient, in vivo-like culture environment on a 3D substrate. Collaborations are sought with companies that focus on cancer drug development and are able to provide cancer cultures, compounds and the corresponding preclinical/ clinical data with which to validate the EBERS device. This physiologically and pharmacologically relevant model aims to improve basic research and drug development, reducing animal use. For further information please see the flyer.
