CRACK IT Challenges funds collaborations between industry, academia and SMEs to support the development of 3Rs products and services that are directly targeted to meet end-user needs. Since 2011, CRACK IT has launched 43 Challenges, invested over £31 million and worked with 43 Sponsors and Partners from across industry and academia in projects that have developed products that solve an unmet need using 3Rs approaches.
As the Sponsor of a Challenge, you will define the Challenge and collaborate with the Challenge winners through the provision of in-kind contributions and provide end-user input into the development of the approach. In return, your organisation will receive early access to new 3Rs technologies that will deliver scientific benefits.

The deadline for new Challenge submissions is Wednesday 8 March 2023.
*Single Phase Challenges primarily focus on the validation of new technologies that are closer to market and require less research and development than Two Phase Challenges. Single Phase Challenges are up to 18 months in duration with a budget of up to £100k of funding.
