The annual rodent welfare meeting is suitable for anyone involved in the care, use and regulation of laboratory rodents. Hosted by the RSPCA and UFAW (Universities Federation for Animal Welfare), in collaboration with the University of Bristol's 3Hs Initiative, the meeting is focused on refining the use of laboratory rodents and improving rodent welfare.

The meeting will include:

  • Principles and the practical application of the 3Hs (housing, handling and habituation).
  • Refined dosing approaches.
  • Refined imaging techniques.
  • Healthy lighting for rodents.
  • Evaluating environmental enrichment, presented by NC3Rs Programme Manager Dr Jess Eddy.
  • Group discussions and networking.
  • Poster session.

Registration closes: Thursday 14 November.

Cost: £90 (including lunch and refreshments).
