Attendees at Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Europe 35th annual meeting can meet Dr Natalie Burden (Head of New Approach Methodologies Strategy) and Dr Amy Marriott (Programme Manager – Chemical Safety Assessment) at booth 46 in the exhibition space.
Monday 12 May, 15.45 – 16.45, room 0.49 – 0.50
Natalie is organising and co-chairing a meeting of the SETAC Endocrine Disruptor Testing and Risk Assessment Interest Group. The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in the topic.
Tuesday 13 May
Natalie will be co-chairing two sessions:
- Session 1.08 – In silico new approach methodologies for enhancing understanding of chemical safety: Getting your questions answered by the developers.
- Session 1.12 – Endocrine disruption assessment: Opportunities to enhance and complement current approaches.
Find out more about our programmes of work on new approach methodologies in toxicology, environmental safety testing and endocrine disruptor assessment.
CRACK IT Challenge updates
KREATiS, winners of the Thyroid Tox CRACK IT Challenge, will be exhibiting at booth 65 and presenting their work on QSAR models and molecular docking tools to reliably predict thyroid receptor-mediated human endocrine disruption.
Session 1.12.P – Endocrine testing: Opportunities to enhance and complement current approaches.
- Molecular modeling framework to predict protein-ligand interactions to detect endocrine disrupting potential of chemicals, upgrade and validation.
- QSAR in silico model for predicting thyroid receptor endocrine disruption potential.
aQuaTox Solutions, winners of the CRACK IT SAFE Challenge will be exhibiting at booth 5 and presenting a poster on their work developing bioassays to replace in vivo fish studies in chemical safety screening and regulatory environmental risk assessment.
- Identification and validation of biomarkers of reproductive toxicity in fish cells.
