We are working to establish a national picture on how the Named Information Officer (NIOs) role operates in practice, in order to better understand how the role is supported and identify opportunities for further support.
In collaboration with the Laboratory Animal Science Association (LASA) Home Office Liaison, Training and Information Forum (HOLTIF) section we have run a survey of NIOs to develop a national picture on the role. The results are being collated and reviewed by NC3Rs staff to identify opportunities to support individuals and establishments with the NIO role and inform the development of specific resources and activities relevant to NIOs. We aim to share findings with the community towards the beginning of 2024.
